30 years of two band line up changes and the same horrific energy. The dead rose from their graves on a Sunday night as the sound of horror in its rawest form exploded from the House of Blues onto the streets of Dallas, Texas. The Misfits, opened by the band Scary Cherry and the Bang Bangs, rose from the grave with one original member, Jerry Only, and two ex Black Flag members, Dez and Robo and resurrected new tracks, a few old favorites, and even some Black Flag Covers. And not to mention, a new single titled Land of the Dead.

The opening act, Scary and the Bang Bangs, were nothing short of explosive in sound and stage performance. With a vixen of a lead vocalist and two pants tightening female back up vocalists, they had a stage presence that aroused the crowd and made girlfriends envious. As her raw vocals were cutting through the mic and spitting fire into the crowd, several pits started (by me) only to die down and the start once again. After a long set, and a few blasts from the lead guitarists helium shooting guitar, their set ended as incredibley as it started and the curtains closed.

After some chanting, and a few inspections by the bouncers for marijauna that was clearly evident in the air, the latest misfits line up began their set. They played old classics, such as Astro Zombies, and Die Die My Darling as well as some newer favorites including Saturday Night, and Dig Up Her Bones. Having two Ex-Black Flag memebers, the covers from the legendary 1980s hardcore band were endless. They played classics straight from the old school punk hit list, including Rise Above, Thirsty and Miserable, and Jealouse Again. After an encore demanded by the crowd, Jerry stuck around behind the banner to sign all the crap tossed his way by his loyal fans.
