Opposite of what the title on the home page said yesterday(Oct 24th), McRad Played both the Rock The Cradle and The After-party... Since the skating started at the same time as the bands(with only 15 minute breaks), there wasn't much of a crowd at the stage. But everyone put on a great show none the less.
Blackholicus was the first band to play. They had a Skate-Rock/Metal/Instrumental sound. Their singer was a bit like a cross between The Avengers & X, except with a bit more power. They would've gotten a bigger crowd, but they only played while the Pro Heats going on.
Los Skarnales is a Spanish-flavored band, with ranging styles including Reggae, Ska, and more. They had a wide variety of instruments, and they managed drew a group of spectators away from the skating.
McRad played a variety set featuring Skate-Rock, Reggae, and a bit of Ska too. Their set included "Tomorrow's Headline", "Tom Groholski", "Weakness", and more. The only thing about the show that was disappointing was that they didn't turn down the P.A. music so you could hear them playing at the bowl... It was a great performance and if you were allowed to bring your board there would've been a sick skate session near the band.
