Legendary Crossover band, D.R.I., finally got their Houston Home-coming with a line-up of great openers, and one of the biggest crowds at Meridian I've seen! Now, do I really need to say more to get you to read this!... Ya Dirty Rotten Imbeciles!

Room 101 put on an even more intense show than last year's So-Cal Invasion. For those of you that don't know, Room 101 consists of Bass, Drums, Guitar, and Vocals. All of which are played by 1 man, who plays in front of a screen playing absolutely any video you can imagine. Though the crowd was initially confused by the performance they grew closer and cheered louder with every passing song.

[Edit: they're KTCM now] Cancer... Err(is it K.T.C.D. now?)... Well, "The Band Formerly known as Cancer" got the crowd swirling into a giant pit as soon as they began playing. They played a Hard Thrash Punk mix that couldn't have fit any better than at a DRI show. They played for around a half an hour, and they were able to bring on chaos rivaling most headlining bands. Pits, crowd surfing, the whole 9 yards.

Sinister Minister played full-on hard driving Metal. They stoked out the already hyper crowd by throwing a giant wad of T-Shirts(which they continued periodically through out the show. They held down the stage well. They had a driving presence that kept thing anything but boring. By the time they were near the end of their set everyone in the Mosh pit had a Sinister Minister shirt proudly in their fist, or somewhere visibly in their possession. For the second part of their last song their vocalist came down and sat on the barrier, allowing anyone willing to sing their chance. He even came down into the crowd, and was almost instantly swallowed up by the sea of people.

D.R.I.... Well, where to start... There was a pit, people screaming and crowd surfing. Oh, and did I mention they hadn't even gone on yet!? The audience was so eager they began partaking in normal show activities early so, naturally once they actually burst on stage with "Who Am I?" it turned to mayhem. Standing upright was an impossible task no matter how far from the stage you were. It was clear that it would be the most intense show I've seen, and it was just the first 30 seconds of a near 2 hour show. They made a point of announcing to the security that "These are our friends, protect them, but we don't want anyone getting kicked out". They played a massive on slot of songs including: "I'd Rather Be Sleeping", "Beneath The Wheel", "Couch Slouch", "Thrashard", and more. After which they went backstage for a short moment, before all but Kurt came back to begin the second half of their set starting with a cover of Gary Glitter's "Rock And Roll", which had the crowd shouting the obligatory "HEY!" to the chorus. Unfortunately there were some injuries, one crowd surfer was dropped head first and hit the edge of the stage. He was taken to the hospital, and I would like to personally wish him well. Once he was safely taken away, the band began again after announcing that everyone needed to be careful around the harsh edges of the barrier, "We don't like people getting hurt"... They played "I don't Need Society", "Coffin", "Against Me", before Kurt took one last water break. In the meantime Spike took video of the crowd(which he had been doing periodically) shouting at Herald O questioning if they were tired. After numerous F*ck No's Kurt came back and they played a few more songs and ended on a raging performance of "Five Year Plan".

But Herald, determined to keep playing and entertain, began running around singing Kiss' "Rock And Roll All Night"(which was playing over the PA) with anyone willing, including a Security guard(after some prodding).

There's lot's more, but you're going to have to experience the rest for yourself!

I don't what kind of spam this is, or for that matter what adidas has to do with D.R.I., but you'll have to pay if you want to advertise Mr. Adidas. Ads starting at $15.

:D Hahaha.
