Blower is a mainly Classic Rock style that has amazing attitude, and style. They included a few Kiss covers into their set, which actually set the tone for their originals better than you could you expect. Their self-proclaimed anthem definitely sums up Blower as best as one possibly could... A song called "Hot Wheels, Cold Beers, Big Titties"... I think it says it all. They put on a good performance without a doubt.
Chelsea Hotel plays a classic New York 70's style Punk of the highest caliber. Of course it's somewhat mandatory when you're frontman is Robert Conn of The Pagans. Their set featured mostly original songs, with the full-on Dictators, Dead Boys, Cheetah Chrome sound nailed down with 100% authenticity. There were also a few covers thrown in that got the crowd screaming with excitement. From a few Rolling Stones numbers, to The Dictators, to "Chinese Rocks", and the one most anticipated of all, The Pagans. They played hard and fast for somewhere around an hour before finally bidding the crowd farewell with a hyper cover of "Paint It Black"
If you haven't checked Chelsea Hotel you need to. They're a great band, and great people too.
