Their influences are pretty broad. From Black Flag, to The Dead Boys, to The 13th Floor Elevators(a nice example of a few of their TX origins, and also an easy way to win me over). This gives them more range and originality than your run-of-the-mill Power Poppers, yet at the same time the songs don't sound scattered, or incongruent. The only song that seems to stick out slightly is "Dead By Dawn", a welcomed rougher, scratchier, and more up-beat number
The only thing you might find disappointing is that it's over after only 6 songs, but that's a good thing last time I checked.
Bottom Line: This EP leaves you where you're ready for more, and I suspect somewhere within this trio is an amazing full length just waiting to be written. These guys are definitely worthy of your attention, and of future watch.
