(Meant to get this up yesterday... Internet problems again.)
Sat and watched Peelander Z(didn't take pictures). They were actually much better than I even expected(even though I wasn't really sure what to expect). They're poppy yet punky. They have tons of crowd participation, and they make you scratch your head in that special way that I think only Japanese can. Between crazy costumes, seemingly random signs popping up, and a slight language barrier you end up doing things having no understanding of relevance or purpose. You never figure it out either I think that's what made them great.
OFF! was absolutely phenomenal. For the most part short short fast and to the point, yet there was still a nice amount of banter and crowd talk. Keith Morris sounded completely spot on; fiery yet precise. The drumming was tight, the guitars were raspy, and raw... I just don't know what more you can really ask for.
After Off's set we got to talk to Mario Rubacalba for a minute, drummer for OFF!, he's a great musician and person. After that we had to leave(to catch a plane, in case you haven't read the pre FFF Fest post).
No interviews yet, but we've already been (re)setting up some we were supposed to get at the fest.
Still, waiting to hear back on any ST or Descendents coverage. Found out one of our reporters was supposed to be there, but of course things are subject to change.
Stuff from Gwar/Casualties, and Bad Religion will be going up real soon, and FFF Fest stuff sometime mid-week.
