In honor of The Adicts landmark tenth Album "All The Young Droogs" we sat down with legendary frontman, "Monkey", for a little talk about the new release!
Tx Punk: I know the band has taken a slightly more diverse approach on the new album, what inspired some of this?
Monkey: I don't thik that the case, we've always had an eclectic mix of songs on our albums, i dont think this is much more of a depature that the last couple of albums, we don't have a concept or a plan when we decided to record, it is what it is and it writes us to some extent
Tx Punk: Do you have a favorite song off the new album?
Monkey: to us tonight because that the only one i wrote entierly and that doenst happen very often
Tx Punk: How do you guys stay inspired to write after 35 years in Punk Rock?
Monkey: its a bit of thrill to take a blank note pad and turn it into a bunch of songs, and then see that manifest as an album, we write as we go in the studio, don't have much worked out so it adds pressure and pushes us to produce, i like it in a peverse way because we never really know what we are going to end up with
